Frequently Asked Questions

Accessibility

If you have questions about accessibility with regards to a specific item or need at the convention, please do not hesitate to contact us via our email. Please let us know at the time of registration and we will make every effort to assist within the constraints imposed upon us by the various convention activities. Here's what we know at this time:

  • Information about facilities at the convention hotel can be obtained from the hotel directly
  • Accessibility information for Lowell National Historic Park is available on their web site; many aspects of the LNHP are accessible.
  • The coaches being used for tour transportation do not accommodate wheelchairs, but if you have your own vehicle, and wish to travel in that with the tour, please contact us so we can make arrangements
  • All of the layouts on layout tours involve one or more sets of stairs that must be traversed to reach the layout
  • The Mt Washington Cog Railway has no handicapped provisions on board trains
  • The Notch Train operated by the Conway Scenic Railroad has indicated that 25 inch maximum wheel chairs are allowed on trains
  • The Hobo & Winnipesaukee Railroads operating the main convention tour on Friday have indicated that 24 inch maximum wheel chairs are allowed on trains
